PlayPumpkin

Parents & teachers

Every game here is family-safe. None has violence, adult themes or gambling of any kind, not even pretend money, bets or spins. There is no chat or messaging, nothing made by other players, no account to create and nothing to buy.

If you find something you would not want a child to see, tell me at the address below.

Ads

There are no ads yet. When they come, they will be Google’s, follow its policies, and sit around the games and between them. None will interrupt a game. One that gives something in the game, such as a hint, plays only if you choose it.

Children’s privacy

PlayPumpkin is for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. It doesn’t ask anyone for personal information. Game progress stays in the browser on the device being used. An online game goes through PlayPumpkin’s server, which keeps it only while the room is open, as the privacy policy explains.

Playing online

A child can play Tic-Tac-Toe with a friend on another device. One of them sends a link, and the other opens it and picks a name from a list of animal names. Nobody types a name and there is no chat. A room can be reached only through its link, so ask children to send it only to people they know.

In class

The games run in an up-to-date browser, including Chrome on a Chromebook and Safari on an iPad. There is nothing to install, so a class can start at once. Every game plays with a keyboard, a mouse or a touch screen.
